Peter,

The only Thomas BOUGH I can see on 1891 census with a birth date around 1889 was born in Heytesbury, Essex, England.

He is a boarder with Edward and Mary Ann ROSSER in Newcastle Shopshire.

Not much help even if it is your grandad!

Charles RICHARDS, Head, Mar, 22, Scene painter, own account, Ireland
Eliza RICHARDS, Wife, Mar 23, Hawker, own account, Liverpool, Lancs
Bella RICHARDS, dau, 3 Liverpool
Edward BOUGH, son!, 12, Maidenhead, Berkshire

P.S. I can trace this family back to 1891 transcribed as BAUGH this time the head of household is Harriet BAUGH married 27 wife (Irish hawker) born London.  Edward and Thomas (aged 10 months) are there with an older sister Harriet.  They are living in Maidenhead RG12; Piece: 1005; Folio 39; Page 34

Pam,

That makes much more sense for 1901!

If this is Peter's Thomas this would look like the birth registration:

Bough  Thomas    Cookham  2c 384 Sep Q 1890

Can't see a marriage for Edward BOUGH and Harriet though - how frustrating - no wonder Peter's been having trouble  :o
