Hi, I wonder if anyone knows the last date for burials at St Margarets Church, Leicester?

And where would burials likely to have taken place after this date please?

Many thanks.

Greeting’s…….. Fek 33.

Most inner City Churches stopped burials in their Churchyards
Aprox 1855. ( unless it was to reunite families )

Most of the burials were directed to the newly opened Welford Road Cemetery
( Which I have details for 1849 through to 1950.)

If I can help just post details ……

MIKE.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your very speedy response.

I am looking for details of 'Merrall' relatives.  (variations may be Merrell or Merrill!!).

Either at St Margarets or nearby!!

According to IGI, baptisms, marriages were at this church, presume burials also.  ???

Look forward to hearing from you.
