Hello Cardiff
Can you tell me if your register contains any reference to dock police staff? I have recently launched a web site dealing with the police at Cardiff Docks and elsewhere in South Wales, complete with a database of 900 names. See http://headline.org.uk I would be very interested to hear of any further information.
Many thanks

Hi Cardiff,
My wife's Great Grandfather Albert(Alfred) Withers worked in the dockyard. When he married in 1886 he was a Dockgate man, in 1891 census he was a Dry Dock Labourer and in 1901 was a Dock Labourer.
Does he get a mention in your register?
The reason I ask is that I am trying to find his date of birth.
Regards
Joe2

Have you any info on James Nagle who worked at Cardiff docks sometime between 1901 and 1910?

Hi Cardiff,
Thanks for looking for Withers in your register.
Is there a George Tucker either born c1841 or another born c1861?
Kind regards
