It gets more bizarre.
Now i've checked the birth entries for Ivy under both the Eddy and Bedford surnames and have drawn blanks on both for the 1915 birth date.

I think i might have to leave this one on one side for a bit and concentrate on other people who i can find information for relatively easily.

With her having a DOB of 15th Dec,have you tried the March 1/4 of 1916?

It WAS nearly Xmas after all and with all the other stuff going on perhaps they didn't get round to registering her birth till after Xmas. They did have up to 6 weeks to do so of course.

Hi Carol.

I have found an entry for the beford name in the 1st quarter of 1916, but it's in a different registration district.
2 bedfords married family members, both in the doncaster district, so although i've got this birth entry as a possibility, i'm not going to commit to it until i get further information.
