Hi Jo and larkrise,

Thanks for your replies, I'd forgotton all about this post.

I did get all the information I wanted on Albertine thanks. I got a copy of her baptism and marriage records when I visited Taunton last year. And found all the entries on FreeReg and checked them out on another visit to Taunton.

Hi there

My ancestor is Albertine Rodway. She is my 2nd great grandmother on my father's side. She was born in Rode in 1807 and married William Yeoman who was born in Whatley in 1810. They had They had 11 kids. Their grave is in the front of the church in Whatley. I have been there back in the 1980s and taken a photograph of the headstone which says the following...

"To the memory of Albertine, wife of William Yeoman, who died Dec 6 1883 Aged 76 years Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord
Also of the above William Yeoman who died May 27 1886 Aged 76 years It is the Lord, let Him do what seemeth Him good.

Hi Ridgehill

Thanks for your reply. After posting you I then read some of the oter posts and realised you had found out all the info. Thanks for that info as I didn't have William and Albertine's marriage date. The 11th child was a second child named Hannah born in 1850 as the Hannah born in 1845 must have died. I am descended from their youngest child Sarah Hannah Yeoman born in 1851. Hannh seemed to be an important name in this family.

Have just registered with rootschat so am still learning to navigate my way around this website.

Cheers

Hi Jo7

Williams' mother was called Hannah.

I've got a copy of Sarah Hannah's birth certificate. Let me know if you need a copy.

Hi Ridgehill

I would love a copy of Sarah Hannah's birth certificate THANK YOU! Thanks for William's mother's name too as I didn't have any info about his parents. Do you have his father's name too? Was it William?

I have a photo of William and Albertine as well as a photo and transcript of the headstone in the grounds of Whatley Church if you would like me to send that to you. When I was travelling through England in the late 1980s I happened to find myself in the town of Whatley and knew we had ancestors from there so went to the church to see if I could find anything and found the headstone! What luck!

Cheers
