Hi Emma

This is just a hunch.  I found a James Davies b 1826 Blackburn in 1851.  He was married to Elizabeth and living with her parents Robert and Ellen Jones in Wigan.  If this is the correct James could these be the two families in 1841.

HO107/523/8 P19
Chapel Lane, Wigan

Thomas Davies 40, Lab
Charlotte 40
James 15
Mary 13
Elizabeth 10
Sarah 3m
All born in county.

HO107/523/8 P4

Robert Jones 40, Carter
Ellen 35
Elizabeth 12
Ellen 10
John 8
Mary 6
Ann 4
Thomas 1
All born in county

Do you know his fathers name?

Regards ... Sheila

EDIT - Have altered age for James should have read 15.
