Well, well, just as I suspected.

I just bought £5 of units and suddenly, magically, the images are popping up without a hint of a problem.

"Overseas records are FREE to browse and view" as they state should not mean that you have to buy something to view them.

Very, very angry Glen  >:( >:( >:(

***Problem now resolved. Units do NOT need to be purchased to view the free images*** (No longer quite so angry!!!)

Well at least we know now - just have to work out whether to spend £5.

Cheers,

I had a look at the familyrelatives.com About Us section. You'll need to go to the Information section and then the About Us section as when I inserted the link only a blank page appeared. It's a right load of waffle. The fact that they are located on an offshore island interested me. They're not like Emerald Ancestors who are located in Belfast ... at least we in the Belfast area can always drop in and talk to them or give them a phone call whereas I can only find an email and snail mail address for Family Relatives.

Hi MarieC

Can you suggest under what headings to look?  The 'browse overseas records'   is not name searchable.
Ward (Birmingham); Bretherton (Birmingham); Lee (Bolton & Birmingham); Griffiths (Radnor & Birmingham).

You can now stop slagging off familyrelatives.com.

Yes I did have problems contacting them, but after I complained via all 13 'Nature of query' alternatives they have resolved the problem and I have received a nice email.

Thanks - I can confirm that it works now.
I didn't slag the company off, just reported what was happening.

Cheers,
   Dave

Maybe I got the blank page because my machine was tired that day :D

Hi MarieC

Hi Wardonia  :)

Without knowing the headings, I am not sure how to answer you.  But it is a death, it could have occurred in either Hong Kong or Formosa (as I think Taiwan was previously known), and it could have occurred between 1861 and 1885.

If you cannot search on those criteria, let me know what more you need in order to search effectively.

Thanks!

MarieC
