Hello phrishy, Janis & jacqui i don`t know where to start
first off those are the only Atkinsons i have with phrishy doing my look up jacqui but will keep a look out for your Atkinson. So with Janis sending the baptism for Thomas we know now his parents were Thomas & Sarah Atkinson in 1861 census 29, Walworth St South Bishopwearmouth Durham, and Sarah her age and place of birth fits in with the 1871 census Elsdon`s wife in Longhurst. Ralph Heron in Longhurst was Elsdon`s brother which i have all the census . I will have to send for the birth certificate for Thomas Atkinson and the marriage certificate for his parents to see if that puts me right with the Atkinson. Then where does Costtello fit in.
phrishy you have done wonders with all that you have picked up for me and i do appreciate your help and thank you Janis for your kind help as well. I will let you know when i get the certs back. I have the marriage lines for Elsdon Heron and Isabella Dawson what i copied off parish registers quite some years back, Elsdon must have had a 3rd wife as on his death it said his wife was Mary in 1910 which i got that out of the paper.
