I have Greenops in my family tree. Specifically John born 1818 in Langdale who was a labourer at the gunpowder works. He was married to Mary Kirkby who was something like me GGG aunt i think! They had 12 children.
Do you need to know anything in particular?

Was he the John that was blown up with Irwin the fiddler?
What I'm specifically looking for is a link between the Langdale Greenops and either the Whitehaven or Warton near Lancaster ones.

William Irwin was a famous lakeland fiddler.
Full article is at
http://www.harbourtownrecords.com/boatirwin.htm
The Greenops and the Irwins are so intertwined that there is a whole family of Irwin Greenops from about 1846.
You can find my lot at
http://gw0.geneanet.org/bobgraham
and if that doesn't work (its been playing up recently), find geneanet on your browser, search for "graham" and "workington" and my bit should be first up.
Is it possible to see your lot anywhere/
I forgot - paternal grandmother was a whitehaven Greenop.
