Catherine dau of Edward and Catherine 26th Apr 1781, born 6th Feb, at Daventry

In the bapt of another child Edward is described as an 'Attorney'

Mmm Thanks but it sounds a bit posh for my Ag Labs ;D ;D

I think I'll ask on the Oxfordshire board to see if anyone can follow the Epwell Catherine through.

Many thanks for help re John Holliday.  I am not very knowledgeable about using Roots Chat so it is all very hit and miss!  I assume the people chatting about James Holliday and Catherine Lamb was in response to my query??
If I want to find out info about another line of my family - surname beginning with S - do I have to go to an S page or just post the message here?  Finding it all very confusing at moment.

Don't panic ;D ;D

What may confuse you is that this thread is on the Warwickshire board and we are talking about the Holliday family when they lived in Northamptonshire.

Normally you use the relevent county board, so as I am looking at the Lamb family living in Oxfordshire I have put a thread on the Oxfordshire look up requests board for that.

So what county were the family you are looking for living in?

We can help you find your way around Roots.

Thank you so much for helping me out.  The other family line I wanted to post a message about lived in Warwickshire - the Snape family.  I didn't know whether I had to go to an "S" section or what.  I sort of presume I go to "Warwickshire Lookup Requests"?  Hopefully if I do that it will be self explanatory what to do next?  I am on the verge of giving up with this particular line, but hey ho you never know I may get a result on Roots.  If not, I shall just have to accept that this particular ancestor was spirited away by aliens!  Once again - many thanks for your assistance.

Morning  Yes put your request on Warwickshire look up requests and see if anyone can help you.  If you really get stuck then we do what we call a Scavenger Hunt which goes on the Common Room board and everyone chips in and tries to help.  Mind you the family  have perhaps joined my great grandmother on the other side of the family she went to Plant Zog with the aliens.

If I get anywhere with Catherine Lamb then I'll let you know.

Thanks once again!  Not had much time lately to do much at all but am hoping to make time!!  Any info you come up with re Hollidays would be much appreciated.  I am very much an amateur and often need pointing in the right direction.
