I saw that Maureen updated this thread and I also have an update on my Crawford line, which makes clearer some potential links.

My Grandmother Letitia Patton Crawford was born 28 Jul 1880 in Newtownards (resitor), Down.
Her father was William Crawford, born 1849 in Newtownards, County Down. Married to Jane Brown.
Letitia had a number of siblings, most also born Newtownards.
The family were recorderd on 1871 Scottish Census in Glasgow, with William (aged: 22) named as a Hammerman (usually a metal worker or smith).

Hopefully ths may ring a few bells, at some point!

Regards; Phil

I remember seeing an "Isabella Crawford" on the UC list, but I originally dismissed it because:

1- I think there was a seperate Isabella BORN to George Crawford, so this Crawford might be her maiden name.
2- I don't see her husband "Hugh" listed, which you would think would have also been on the list.

But now I'm not so sure now that I've seen so many other Crawfords listed to that address.

Well, I just ordered the 1901, and 1911 census return for Balleevy (including the estate). It will take a few weeks to get it in, but I'll know for sure who is on it.

My crawfords eventually moved to Canada around 1914, but the Canadia census's are all 100% online, and I don't see them on the Canadian census, so that would imply they must have been in Ireland at 1901 and 1911, so... who knows.  Worth the $10 to get the returns

This Isabella (née Lund?) Crawford c1843-1927 was the widow of George Crawford c1840-1911 of Ballievey House. It looks as if their children were Olivia Henry Crawford, George Crawford, Mary Crawford and Melene /Melenie (+other spellings; married William Boyd Clifford 1920 - source Emerald Ancestors) Crawford.
