Donald Arthur Jackson

I have looked for an Arthur Jackson 1912-14 but the only one I can find born in Stockport is Arthur V Jackson, mothers maiden name Tallent-Bateman born 4th quarter 1914.

I have come across many instances where the birth names are reversed and/or a third name added when they are Christened and the third name then becomes the name they are known by so don't dismiss it. What was his father's Christian name and occupation given on his marriage certificate? It may be possible to do a trace through him.

Margaret, Thank you, his father's christian name on the marriage certificate is Joseph Jackson (deceased)occupation Insurance Inspector. I have just obtained from D A or A D Jackson's Seaman's Union Book his date of birth as April 1913. I am trying to trace the family for my sister- in- law in Australia who has this book but there are no other details in it that will help. She did add that from a hazy memory Donald had some siblings called Hilda, Bruce and Frank.
I think Arthur V Jackson is ruled out but I have made a note.

Hi Time,  I am related to Donald Arthur Jackson whom you have been trying to find.  Are you related to David and Carole Parsons.  She is my sister.  I know you have been trying to do a search for my family.

Helen, Yes I am david's brother, sorry about the delay in replying. As you can see from my posts on this forum I started to do little research for carole but came to a full stop when I changed computer and all the data I had backed up would not work on windows 7. I think I gave carole what I had done especially on the female side, but seeing as you have found this site, are you going to do some research? Let me know if you want anything that I have found. Do you have extra info to carole? By the way if you look through my past posts you will see a  restored photo of David and my mother
