Thanks Julian, Casalguidi, Paula and Rancegal.

I've enjoyed doing it, but couldn't have without the help of Rootschatters.

I hope it encourages my young grandson to work with his obvious ability and not waste it.

And hopefully he'll appreciate the historical aspect of it as he grows older too....

Just have to report that my grandson was absolutely delighted with his special Christmas gift.......and seeing his wonderful reaction was a very special moment for me.

So thanks again, folks.    :)  :)

A little bit more to this story.....

I sent a CD of all the photos and information to my elderly aunt, Will's youngest daughter, and I've just had a phone call to tell me that she has three more photos and at some stage soon I will be able to get a copy.

Wish I'd had them before I did my grandson's board....one has on it
Middlesex Juniors v Kent Juniors
at West Morling
16th April 1910
Drawn 1 all.

But that's not all.....she tells me that every member of the team is named!  :D  :D  :D

What a great find, dee.
I just hope the names are well placed, not like the one that turned up for restoration with the names all round the edge and lines across the photo pointing to the person...the thought was there.... :-\

I think the names are underneath, Paula....fingers crossed that they are anyway.......

What a treasure.....evidently after my aunt got the CD she went and sorted through some stuff she'd collected after Will's eldest son died last year......and the photos were amongst it.  :D  :D  :D
