There is a Kings Lynn Football Club that I found on the www - you might want to contact someone there to see if there's some history etc available about Lynn Borough.

Kings Lynn Football Club - Tel: 01553 760060 - Tennyson Road, King's Lynn, Norfolk, PE30 5PB

JULIAN

Thanks, Julian..... I had had a look at the website and tried to get into the Archive. However I can't do so on my computer. But since reading your message I've been back and investigated further and have found a way of contacting them via a message, so I'll give that a go.

Gadget's right......telephone call from here might stretch the budget a bit......  :-\

Can't contact the Kings Lynn FC via computer message.....it won't recognise telephone numbers outside England, and without putting in your telephone number, it won't let you post.

So I'll do it snail mail.......

The earlier team was called Lynn Swifts, they were one of the best local teams in the area at the time.

The medal with Lynn Borough inscribed was the league winners medal for that season

Hopefully more to follow  :) :)

Sorry, the Lynn Borough medal was awarded to the winners of Lynn Borough Junior Cup 1904-05.

The Lynn Swifts FC were formed in 1896 and is one of the oldest junior clubs in Norfolk.  They were the junior section of Lynn Town FC.

It sounds like they won everything in the area at the time.  In 1906/7 and 1907/8 seasons they won the League with maximum points.
