Hintlesham and Gestingthorpe

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how close Hintlesham in Suffolk is to Gestingthorpe in Essex? One of my ancestors seems to have been born in Essex but may have been christened in Suffolk a good many years later; I'm wondering why the family may have moved, if indeed they did. Also, why someone born in 1816 might not have been christened till 1831? I know sometimes children were baptized along with siblings, but haven't come across anyone baptized at 15 years old before. Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

Parloc, the Parish Locator program that can be downloaded free from http://www.parloc.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ gives the distance between Hintlesham and Gestingthorpe as 17.1 miles.
