William Etherington 1851/1861 census

Could anyone help me please.  I'm trying to track down this elusive soul on any census - except 1871, which I have!).  William (possibly E) Etherington born Birmingham about 1828.  By 1863 he is married to Mary Wright (nee Jeffrey, born Norwood Green)) and has a daughter also Mary (born 1863 St Lukes, Middx) and is a Dredgerman and the family are living Macclesfield Rd Cottages, St Matthew Finsbury.  I can also find no record of his marriage to Mary!

Any info or ideas for further research would be most gratefully recieved

On FreeBMD Mary is also transcribed as Mary Albright Jeffrey

Canal Terrace, Islington, Finsbury

Mary W Etherington, Wife, M, 23, b Norwood Green

William is not listed with her, but she is the first entry on a page. He is not on the previous page either, but she is not listed as the Head. Maybe the Enumerator missed him off?

I'll take a look at the other census and report back!
