Hi Jo, please forgive me for taking the liberty of approaching you directly in this way but I perked up when I saw your earlier post about you searching for info on Cynghordy Hall and your ancestors. My late grandfather also worked at Cynghordy Hall, maybe 1940-60s if not longer and I am just beginning to dip a toe in the water of trying to trace my family roots. I'd be so interested to know if you were successful in your search and if you would be kind enough to let me know which sources of information are available and informative. I'm finding it rather hard to track down records as all the family in Cynghordy have long since passed away and surviving cousins moved away, mostly lost touch etc. I would love to be able to give my children an idea of their own histories one day as my dad died when I was 7 and my grandfather when I was 8, so my own children never knew the joy of those two dear men. If you have time to reply, I'd love to hear back, many thanks and seasonal best wishes. I have left a somewhat lengthy post on here in the hope that someone, somewhere might read it and find it triggers a memory or two.
