Alfred D Payne 1837 Feckenham
« on: Sunday 11 March 07 10:47 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
I am told, but don't have the resources to confirm, that Alfred D Payne b 1837 Feckenham (1881 census) was the son of Daniel Payne b abt 1805.  Is it possible for someone to do a look up for a baptism or an earlier census where the two can be seen as father and son? Thanks
Regards
Vicwinann

Dear Welsh Lady and Valda,
Thank you again for your help.  It looks like Frederick Alfred Daniel was christened as an adult the year before he married.  The date of baptism on the IGI was the reason that I had rejected it. Silly me.  I should have looked for more baptisms of Daniel and Elizabeth and that would have shown me the error of my ways.   Thank you both.
Regards

Hello,
I presume that you must be part of the Payne family. I would love to hear from you. Send me a private message and I will pass on my email address. The Paynes are my brother-in-law's family and quite a bit of research has been done, which I am sure we can swap.
Yours
Vicwinann

Not sure whether this will help but I have a William Payne and Eliza Payne who witnessed William Blun and Jane Ick marriage registration on 7 March 1841 at the Parish Church in Dudley, Worcester. Rev. Henry Halls officiated.
