I cant help with Gertrude, but Harold was brother to Herbert Windale, who was married to Jane Brown (Windale) they resided in Darlington. Thanks for the info as it has helped me fill in a gap on the Windale side.

On the 1891 census that Ecneps posted , all those children check out on the GRO site to have a mother's maiden name of Ayre

As Robert G was single in 1881 and married by 1891 with the eldest child listed as being born 1885, this looks like a quite likely record for the marriage of Robert G Wright and Mary E Ayre

a free search of the 1921 census has a
Selina G Windale born 1889, recorded in Carlisle, and the other occupants are a Harold A, Harold and 3 others

Using just the surname Windale, and specifying Carlisle in the free search brings up just 6 names - which matches on numbers from Selina G's result -

and the two youngest born Carlisle

Checking the children in the GRO index shows they all have a MMN of Wright
