Hi,
Do you have Gertrude's marriage cert showing her father's occupation?
I think that is the right marriage, but the wrong census (sorry Cardiff) as that 1891 census shows wife as Mary
A and children b. Stockton also the marriage would have been after the oldest child's birth (not impossible I know)
I found a Robert Gibbon Wright in 1881 census born Kirby Wiske, by 1891 he was married to Mary
E - with children born Darlington so this may be right, problem was finding Gertrude, but the Selina G turns out to be Selina Gertrude b. Dec Qu 1889 Darlington 10a 19 so could fit.

For ordering Darlington certificates, go to
www.darlington.gov.uk/Living/Register+Office/RegOfficeSearch as it will probably be quicker than ordering from the GRO
