Carrickfergus - Condit/Conditt Weatherup
« on: Wednesday 07 March 07 03:52 GMT (UK) »
I would like to hear from other researchers who have family links to:

Thomas Condit &  Elizabeth Weatherup (marriage 1854 Carrickfergus) and anyone who knows the names of Elizabeth Weatherup's parents.

I have an interest in the Weatherups of Carrickfergus. I think that Elizabeth's parents were Samuel Weatherup and Ann Porter and she was born in 1829.

Hi,

Could you let me know the source of the date of 1854 for Thomas and Elizabeth's marriage?  (cannot find that one anywhere I have looked!)

Many thanks

I believe it took place in St Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Carrickfergus, not to be confused with St Nicholas Church of Ireland Church. I think that because it was a marriage between a Protestant (Thomas) and a Roman Catholic (Elizabeth) you won't find it in the Civil Registration Indexes.
