Address in West Ham
« on: Monday 05 March 07 11:10 GMT (UK) »
Could anyone tell me if 27 Charford Rd West Ham still exists? I understand that some major development may be taking place. If it does exist would anyone be willing to take a photo and send it to me by email?

Hi Jacqui
Thanks for the reply. I had already looked for it on google maps and couldn't find it. I did find an article which said that there was a proposal to knock it down and redevelop the area but it wasn't dated...thus my question. I'm planning a trip to London sometime to visit all the old family addresses, I have all of them except this one, no point going if it's all been turned into a shopping centre:)

Hello!  :-*

I don;t know what date the demolition report was, but I often use this site and it has references to house sales in Charford Road, Newham in recent years.

(Blush - is Newham close enough to the area you mean - you know me and big cities!!)

Not sure if this helps but in recent years there have been major improvements (road widening) etc. to the A13, which according to my 15 yr old A-Z ,is quite close to Charford Rd.

Had a quick look on Streetmap.co.uk - the A13 passes very close by Charford Road, but the map is dated 2006, so hopefully it is still there.
