Unfortunately I do not know the name of the Institutions only the location.
I would like to know the birthplace for this couple.

1891 James William hobbs 37 Woolwich Institution

1891 Emma Hobbs 43 Poplar Institution

James William Hobbs is married, 37 years old and a painter, born London Woolwich
RG12; Piece: 541; Folio 128; Page 9

He is a patient in District Woolwich Union Workhouse in Plumstead East, London.

The only Emma Hobbs I find of that age is in the District Grove Hall Lunatic Asylum, Stratford Le Bow St Mary, London

It would seem she was working there rather than an inmate.
