Looking for information on Thomas Jervis. Born 1789 Market Drayton, Shropshire, England. Also Thomas Jervis born 1815, England

What was their connection with Lancashire?  Did they live here and if so - what part of Lancashire?

1815 England??  What part of England.  Do you have a name for his wife or any children that could help narrow it down.   

The 1851 has a Thomas Jervis b Wigan 1816 wife Elizabeth but he is the only one with a Lancashire connection

The Thomas Jervis born 1789 was living in Toxteth Park in 1851. His wife was named "Ardelia" born abt 1822 in Ruthin, Denbigshire, Wales. Thomas Jervis born abt 1815 lived in Litherland Lancashire in 1861. His wifes name was "Cordelia" born abt 1822, Ruthin, Denbigshire, Wales. What I am trying to figure out is  this the same person as "Ardelia" wife of 1789. If you look at the census in both cases,to me, they look like the same name (Cordelia). If they were the same person maybe thomas 1789 was the father- inlaw and was not the husband of Cordelia. Maybe you have some insite in this situation. Thank you,GWG

Reason I couldn't find him was his birthplace is shown as Salop on the 1851 rather than Shropshire (same place I know but Ancestry does a precise search for what's input)

She is definitely Cordelia on the image and was aged 29 to his 62yrs.  He was a coachman & she is shown as his wife.

1861 - definitely the same woman as on the 1851 and husband Thomas is only 46 and an agricultural labourer so you could be right about the relationship

You need to check the 1841 to see if you can match a father & son

How intriguing that Cordelia should find a second husband with the same name as the first one!

Looks like she was married again in 1871  per Lancs BMD, to a Henry Howard at St Peter Everton (ref 2085WD/4/119) http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk/

I have checked the full GRO entry and it is definitely Jarvis not Jervis

A copy of the marriage cert will show his fathers name and occupation
