Couldn't resist it, my very last one. Keep this one also away from B-I-L's mother....Jane Malcolm, mother of Agnes, married Joseph Davidson as we know in 1881....she was 45 and HE WAS 19

Not sure what it is about the Malcolm women but for some reason they like to appear older than they are   

Just picking up from last night, trying to get some background on Agnes's mother Jane. Although she showed as 45 in her marriage in 1881, her actual age would appear to have been 35 25, with a birth year of 1856. The 4 on the MC could well be a 2, hard to make out.

This looks like her parents' marriage:

Kargil, if you want to find out a lot more about the family, I would look at the 1855 birth cert for the first Jane. The first year of official reg. in Scotland, the BMDs ran over two pages of the register and included a wealth of additional info on the parents: where they were from, ages, occupation, how many children they'd had (alive/deceased) etc. Certainly one to look at.
