My mistake .... that was Censuswhacking !!  ::)

Quote
The prospect of an entry for 'Censuswhacking' in Wikipedia being deleted on the grounds that it is a neologism seems to be emerging.

You can have your say on the subject at

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censuswhacking

Rootschatters can still . entry!

cheers

Paul

Iv'e requested a copy of the deleted article to be retrieved, so that the validity of the decision to delete without any discussion can be reviewed. See:

See:

I have also notified Enochlau of my intent to dispute the deletion:

Enochlau now suggests we write a new rootschat article, "but this time putting in statements that reflect the notability of this website". He refers to guidelines relating to articles about websites. The website should either have been referred to in the media, or have won an award (see below).

Does anyone have a list of media reports regarding Rootschat - newspapers, TV, specialist magazines, books, etc?

# The content itself has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself.

    * This criterion excludes:
o Media re-prints of press releases and advertising for the content or site.[4]
o Trivial coverage, such as newspaper articles that simply report the internet address, the times at which such content is updated or made available, a brief summary of the nature of the content or the publication of internet addresses and site or content descriptions in internet directories or online stores.
    * This criterion includes reliable published works in all forms, such as newspaper and magazine articles, books, television documentaries, and published reports by consumer watchdog organizations.[5]

# The website or content has won a well known and independent award, either from a publication or organisation.[6]

I made a list of articles a while ago, where RootsChat has been mentioned:

RootsChat in the Public Eye

Is this the sort of "referred to in the media" that he means ??
