Hi Goggy,

Thanks again for the reply and I am sure that I have been through the links as you suggested but will persevere and see if any others come up. I read one where a dems gunner shot down two in the North sea and returned with a part of one still on the deck where it had crashed.

Good shooting!!!!!!!

Regards JOhn

Beardmore's archives are held at Glasgow University.  There may be photographs.  Worth also checking with the Transport Museum.

If the worst comes to the worst .... maybe you could use a photo of the harbour in 1943 !!

Hi John,

They have photo of Dalhanna made somewhere in South Africa is here: http://rapidttp.com/museum/jmmc/jmmcd.html. But to see the picture you have to purchase it  :)

There is also painitng of "Johan Shulte" ex-Dalhanna at http://www.galerie-navalis.de/bilder/g51.jpg , but the picture is very small.

Hi Mike,

Many thanks for the information, it is the best  that I have had, yet but pity about the size.  It goes to show that there is a lot of info out there to be found.

The S.A. pic price seems to be a bit on the high side but must be of excellent quality and pity one cannot see a preview of it.

Really appreciate yours and others efforts.

Regards John

Is this the ship you are looking for? I know this is a very old post but I was Googling "Head Line" and found your post. Hope this is it. The LORD O'NEILL.
