Last seen in 1851.

Samuel BAXTER, 2, NTH Thornhaugh 25

He went on to marry a Sarah DAKER and they lived in Yorkshire.

When did he marry? would he be married by either of the censuses you are looking for? or would we be looking for him and the whole family, possibly still in Thornhaugh?

Have you requested this family in any other look ups? since James and Sarah, with children James, Daniel, Samuel, Robert, Henry and John are still in Thornhaugh, are you aware that somebody else has checked this image which the transcriber has noted the name as Barter and a researcher entered an amendment to be Baxter 3/28/2006.  Unless this was somebody on your behalf it would seem that somebody else is researching this family.

In 1871 if I have the right one, William is boarding with Thomas and Mary Lawson in Gilbert Loyd, Wortley, Farnley, Yorkshire.  He's 30, a Lab Forge born Northampton Wansford.

But I'm just looking for William BAXTER born 1842.

Apparently he married Sarah DAKER Sep qtr 1872.

I have him in 1881 RG11/4503/14/24 Wortley in Bramley, York.

He has a wife Sarah, 5 children, Mary Elizabeth, Eliza, Ada & Harry

The 1871 cenus would be right Phrishy.

If someone could post the details for 1861 this reference.
