post 1901 help
« on: Wednesday 21 February 07 19:30 GMT (UK) »
I'm fairly certain that no one can help me online with this because I don't think people can have records after 1901 but I'm looking for a marriage record of Arthur Bullimore and Rosa Sanderson between 1920 and 1930. I can only narrow it down to these dates because even though they had 6 children, I only know the birthdate (1927) for one of them. I don't live in Lincoln so can't get to the archives as easily as I'd had hoped. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can go about this?

You can search the complete GRO index from 1837 to 2004 on ancestry.co.uk

For 1837 to 1983 you have to search each quarter for the name you require.

1894 to 2004 are fully indexed.

For the period you need, the surname of the spouse is included so you will know that you have found the right one

Lincolnshire: AUCKLAND, CHARITY, CODD, COLSON, CONYERS, EATCH, DENTON, DRIFFILL, FOSTER, GIBSON, GOOD, HARRISON, HAYWOOD, HEWSON, INGRAM, JESSOP, LAMMING, LOCKER, MARRIOTT, MARSHALL, MILLINGTON, NEAVE, PARKER, PARKINSON, RIDGE, SHARPE, SPITTLEHOUSE, STOVIN, SURFLEET, TOLLERTON, TORRY, TRAVIS, TRUEBLOOD, TUXFORD, WALKER, WEDD, WOOD, YATES

Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
