A  E. Moon  is  listed in 1899 as associa. G.M.W.A  at boulder western australia
but I  can't  find  him  after  that

Hi. Isnt the internet remarkable.
Harold EP Moon and then Harold Rosslyn Moon of Cloudsleigh Brixton are my g grandfather and grandfather.
Edgar Rosslyn Moon is my g g uncle I think.
I was looking up their piano business.
My parents have several Western Australian artifacts (eg large rather 'striking' victoriana retirement/recognition of service gift of glass domed brass mounted emu eggs decorated with local fauna (kangaroos);  boxes with labelled W Australian prospecting mineral specimens, 100s of photos). 
I will ask my family/look at the engraved plate on the gift.

Hi Kimberley,

Here's an article giving a c.v. for Edgar R Moon when he is appointed superintendent of Midland Railway Company and also mentions that he is the son of James E Moon of Plymouth and Torquay who is prominent in Devon.

and some prospecting samples he collected - most are gold bearing (they are in a box he made) with labels.
