Please can any one help me trace Williams past or help find his family in the old country.

WILLIAM ADAMS
b: 1769 in Omagh, County Tyrone, Ireland d: 1822, buried at sea
William was originally from Omagh, County Tyrone in northern Ireland. With his wife and six children, he sailed from Londenderry about 1822-1825, hoping to start a new life in Canada. Their ship, like many others hauling immigrants at the time, was small, overcrowded, and disease ridden. Some of these ships were considered worse than those engaged in the African Slave Trade. Both William and his wife Sarah became victims, and were buried at sea. The voyage took 9 weeks. It is unknown by what means, but the surviving family settled in Ameliasburgh and Hillier Townships of Prince Edward county, Ontario.

m: before 1805  to Sarah: in Omagh, County Tyrone, Ireland b: 1768 in Omagh, County Tyrone, Ireland d: 1822 buried at sea

The details of the 1766 Religious Census are shown by civil parish and in many cases include the names of head of household, whether they are Church of Ireland or Catholic, and sometimes how many people were in the household.
