Thomas Herridge / Elizabeth Sutton
« on: Saturday 17 February 07 20:45 GMT (UK) »
After a fruitful visit to the Berkshire Record Office (BRO) I have managed to piece together a large bit of my Herridge puzzle. Along with CD #17 PRF from FamilySearch.org I can now go back to a Thomas Herridge b c1675 Bradfield, Berks who married Elizabeth Sutton. And of course here it gets tricky with all the variants of the surname and the perverbal 'Headache'.

Does anyone here have any connections with this line? I'm intrigued that the family seemed to all uproot and head east to the Hurst/Wokingham area where it all started for me with my 4 x Great Grandfather William John Herridge b1822 Wokingham who married Hannah Shales/Shiels.

I believe William John Herridge died in 1865 and is buried at Bray.
Hannah remarried and lived until 1903.

Hi Laser,

Thanks for the reply. You are quite right on William and Hannah. My tree now goes back to 1539 and can be found at http://www.herridge.name.
