In 1861 Brooks Judson aged 36, a labourer from East Harsley, Yorks was living with his wife Lily J. from Scotland at 8 South Terrace Seaham Harbour.
In 1871 he was living at New Cottages, these later became Swine Bank (Lodge) cottages and were for miners at Seaham Colliery
