Thank you! I appreciate that so much !!

Would he qualify as an Old Contemptible??

The 1st Battalion South Lancs Regiment (Prince of Wales Volunteers) was stationed at Fort Regent from 1890 - 1892, but I don't know where they went immediately afterwards.  I think the Regiment went to South Africa in 1899 for the relief of Ladysmith - I said Maferking before.. :P

Hi Mack

He was definitly in France in the trenches -  but where I don't know  ::)

He had to come home when my grandma died (Spanish Flu ) so he could sort out the kids and farm them out - then he went back - I used to have all his papers and medals etc and we had a robbery - now everything is gone .... still makes me ill to think about it!!

Hi Mack

She died in 1915 -

We got robbed about 8 years ago - why didn't they just take the TV????????? I don't understand ......!

I've been to fleamarkets - second hand stores - pawn shops -  medal and coin stores - antique shops - whenever I go anywhere I always look to see if I can see my stuff!! they even took my family bible ....... I was devastated !!
