Looking for birth records of Owen McCarron, b.August 1861, to Edward McCarron, mother unknown.  He described himself and his father as farmers in his 1884 marriage record.  He emigrated to Canada in 1883 and returned to marry in 1884 and then returned to Canada.

Hiya igschreiber,

Griffiths Valuation of Ireland took place in Co. Tyrone in 1851. There were eight families with the surname McCarron living in the county at that time. I assume Owen is your brick wall. Do you have information about the family back to the time of Owen's birth ? There is an Edward on the list. Initially I thought omit him from the search but I have had second thoughts. Despite the fact he is shown as living in the town of Omagh he may have farmed within the town boundary. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php

All the Best, Chris
