Hello,
Please could I have some help with any information on Charles MUTLOW b189 Swindon Wiltshire.

Married Sarah BAILEY  b1896

Son Joseph MUTLOW b1917.

I would be very interested in any information on the parents of Charles and any other I can receive.

The nearest I can find is a Charles S MUTLOW born 1894 in Cricklade, which is about 8 miles from Swindon.

Have you found a marriage?  The cert would give you Charles' father's name and occupation, which should make things clearer.

Thank you for your help......I am a little stuck with this one.....I am actually looking for the family of William Smith Mutlow......b ? who had a Son called Richard Smith-Mutlow b1827 Risley Glos he had a daur called Selina I know that is right.....he also had a brother George ? George married and had a son who was killed in the war......it is him that I am after.....I think I will have to find out more information.

Have you already posted for the son on the Armed Forces board?  Information from teh CWGC and possibly medal cards might help, if you haven't already pursued this?

Hi Tinkerbell,
I know that it is a while since you posted but if you have not made much progress I might be able to help a little ....
Joseph Edward Mutlow was, I believe, born 25 Sep 1917 and died 6 Feb 1943 (I am told that this was as a result of an accident). I believe that his father was Charles George Smith Mutlow ..... and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Bailey.
Let me know what you are after and I'll try and help.
It would be good to know how you are connected with this family.

Its almost a year since your post ....to my last message....I have had abit of a break...I am related to the Smith-Mutlows through Richard Williuam Smith-Mutlow born 1887 Cricklate Wiltshire...who was my GRANDFATHER.....my Mother was Dorothy Lousia Harriet Joyce Smith-Mutlow daughter of Richard.

Regarding my question ......Charles George Smith-Mutlow was my Great Uncle.

Could you please tell me your connection....and can you help me further please !!!!!!
