My brother-in-law's descendants were on the John Rennie, William & Eliza Hendry, with their two young children.

Would love for any info you have, including the diary.

Hello there,

I've stumbled across this thread and glad to have done so! I believe one of my distantly related ancestors was actually born on this specific journey and had the name Rennie as part of her middle name as a result. Looking at the immigration list it states born on voyage.  I would love to know any further details if the diary had some in as I bet it made for quite the news on the ship. Her name was Alice Rennie Gamby, born on 25 November 1872 (I think?) with her father being Elias and her mother Matilda. Many thanks!
