By the way I see Richard HALCROFT had a will  (contested here in part http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article14797669) so I will check for a probate packet for Richard and for Mary (their deaths are in the "gap years" for the online indexes but I can check on microfiche when I am there).

According to my records Richard Halcroft got a Conditional Pardon on 1 January 1842.

CP 35/400 43/45 Recommended by John Street JP, John Piper JP, WH Sutton, JP and
Thomas J Hawkins JP, Bathurst. 4/4478 Reel 797 Page 184 State Records NSW.

My husband is related to Richard Halcroft through his daughter Maria Halcroft.  She married Edmund Shreeves in 1884 in Molong NSW.  Edmund's sister Mary Ann Shreeves (Barber) was my husband's great-grandmother.  Phew!

Yes he was granted a conditional pardon in 1842 but didn't collect it ("apply" for it) by 1850 and if he didn't do so within 3 months then ....

See what People think please

I have Richard's father in laws death certificate and it says he was buried at the Kelso Church (Bathurst) but there is no evidence  of a grave there for him(I am guessing an Unmarked grave)

HI
I am related to Richard through Mary Halcroft married Charles Arthur Hull
My mother was a Hull

I have  a copy of a hand written will for Richard srn but I do not think it was his hand writing because he has put a cross for his name and I have a copy of Mary's Will

I know Richard was very generous to the Salvation Army in Molong
