Harry M Watson Memorial Inscription Monquhitter
« on: Saturday 03 February 07 12:43 GMT (UK) »
I would be grateful if someone could look up the full memorial inscription for Stone 58 at Monquhitter cemetery. Aberdeenshire. I know it has the names Harry Mitchell Watson, Joseph Watson 10/6/1886 and Margaret Milne 12/7/1894.
Harry (Henry) was my grandfather and any information on him would be welcome.

Thanks ali607,

I have the details you quoted but I am seeking the FULL inscription.

ANESFHS have not yet published a booklet on Monquitter Cemetery inscriptions and I'm not a member so I can't ask them to do a look up.

If you do have the full inscription details I would appreciate having them.

Regards
bew

Hi
I was in the area today so I stopped off at the Kirkyard.

The full inscription reads

Erected by
Henry Mitchell Watson
in Memory of his Father

Joseph Watson
who died at Wagglehill
June 10th 1886 aged 72 years

Also his Mother
Margaret Milne
who died at Wagglehill
July 12th 1894 aged 71 years

If you send me a PM with your e-mail address I can send you the photos of the stone.

I hope this helps with your researches

Cheers
Gary
