Watch Maker

I have just found this site and have several watch makers in my family. If somebody could look them up for me it would be appreciated.

Please are there any ATKINS watchmakers in Clerkenwell area of London in 1800-1900 period?  Any infor much appreciated.

Many thanks indeed. Perhaps Wm Atkins and Co. is the firm that had links to the Coventry watch trade.  I must look into this because my Coventry Atkins were born in Clerkenwell and baptised in Coventry in 1830 period.

Thanks for the information about my Langford relatives.

Also for 'munchie' who is interested in the Healy family in Clerkenwell.  In looking for 'my lot' I found a marriage between John Langford b.1778 and Susan Healy on 24 October 1803 at St John's in Hackney (not far from Clerkenwell). So it may be worth checking different spellings.  It may be a conincidence but probably as watch makers they may have known each other.

I have been searching in google for Watchmakers in Worcester

Is it possible to find out who Thomas Gregory Davidson ( Watchmaker ) worked for

I have found him in1881 census living with The Turner family
 Thomas is a boarder aged 50 born Spittal Northumberland

In the family of Turners 2 are watchmakers assistant's and one a watchmakers apprentice

The address is 16 New Street Worcester St Martin Worcester

He must have been a man who moved around as I managed by chance to find him in Glasgow where he got married 1860's later in Devan

There is a wathmakers museum at Prescot Lancs
prescot.museum@knowsley.gov.uk.  They did a lookup for me a couple of years ago. However I can't remember if they covered more than just Lancashire, but probably worth an email.  jo
