Holmdene Avenue, Herne Hill
« on: Tuesday 30 January 07 05:12 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know if the building at 4 Holmdene Avenue, Herne Hill is the one that existed in 1899?
My ancestor John Barker Smith, his wife Maria and daughter Lilian lived there.

If so, I would like to obtain a photograph if possible.

(I hope this is the right child board for Herne Hill)

It's always worth a google.  I tried Holmdene Avenue Herne hill and found this house for sale. http://www.watesresidential.co.uk/details.dtx?propertyid=113CC4B8-EAE7-469B-AF6B-61729F8DFF55
It may not be number 4, it doesn't say. but if you click on the map you will see that the street seems to be full of old houses.

If you look at others for sale you will see that many are converted to flats but still look the same from the outside.

Thanks Sylviaann

I really wanted the actual number 4, so I 'll keep trying.
