Hi, I may be asking to much but I have a Frederick Cumming b1808 who sailed on the Broxbornbury as a Ships Surgeon, back in Glasgow he went to Glasgow for Medical Studies....he had a relationship & had a Son called Frederick & arranged for his baby to be baptised in the limehouse september 1827 there was no Mothers name mentioned on the baptismal certificate or Parish records to protect the mother. The Cummings friends doctor Nathaniel Ward offered to foster the child & brought him up as one of his own and he took on the name of Cummings-Ward. Abt 1872 Dr Frederick practised in Hastings Sussex as a GP. I would like to find anything further about this Frederick Jnr. Perhaps there may even be a portait somewhere of him ????
In 1841 Dr Frederick Senior martried Agnes Jane Stuart dau of Merchant John Stuart they setled in Deptford London where Frederick was a GP.
Sources St Anne's Limehouse parish records
East India Company Records.

Hi I have a William Stanley Ward (my gf) son of Frederick James Ward, son of Frederick Cumming Ward born 1827 Limehouse. I then have a Dr Frederick Cumming so I'm wondering if I've reached a dead end because of the above and the change of surname stumped me. Did you make any further progress with this?  I'd love to see what info you have and where our connections are.

Michele
