I've recently discovered the Ajax/Pickering Digital Archive and on page 339-341 of "The Ontario Village of Brougham - Past! Present! Future?", there's a short bio of Levi Hopkins, a grandson of George. There's also a small amount of info about George and family as well.

Thankyou for the link. I found it awhile back and its great. I was surprised to be able to add the names Slack, Hardy, Redshaw and Lee to my family tree after doing research on the Hopkins using that Ajax/Pickering link.

I see your post is from a few years back, but thought I would respond anyway.  I am a descendant of George Hopkins 2nd (George 1st and Margaret Hopkins son)...my mom has a few pictures of some of the this family tree i.e. his son Samuel Roy Hopkins (1891-1948) and his wife Jane Norton.  Not sure exactly where our families branch apart or how far you have gone for George and Margaret's ancestry...I think I have a James Hopkins (1749-1817) married to an Elizabeth Bennett.  But it gets confusing as to whether those are George's grandparents or not as so many of the names are the same!

Hi new cousin so glad to make contact with another relative. You are right James Hopkins and Elizabeth Bennett are Georges grandparents. I have the parish records for Petworth and Tillington. Over the years my cousin and I have been able to make contact with and get copies of letters and pictures of Thomas Hopkins my grand father son of George and Margaret children. We have been able to trace the Bennett and many of the maternal lines a lot further back then the Hopkins line. The family is a little easier once they hit Ontario to follow. I don't have any pictures of George or Margaret but have some on a few of their children. I would love to have some pictures and input on George and his family or extended family. If you want any pictures or copies of what we have gathered I'm willing to share with a fellow Hopkins descendent,  let me know. We were very lucky to be allowed to copy album and scrap books found in the attic of the William Thomas Hopkins estate in Ashburn. There is a lot of newspaper clippings as well.  I have been able to trace Margaret Simmonds family a little farther back to her parents and siblings. Her father is a brickwall but her maternal line goes back a long way. I'm not sure how to send you a personal message with my email address so we can exchange information.
I am so excited about this contact for George Hopkins line

I'm not sure how how things work in that scenario.
