Hi Pete,

Finally got them in 1851 - transcribed as Homer!  ::)

1851 census:
HO107/2378, folio 49, page 1

Yorkshire, Scruton
Scruton Lane House

John Horner, h. mar. 23, Ag. Lab. b. Yorkshire, Kirby Wiske
Jane, wife, mar. 21, b. Yorkshire, Kirby Wiske
William, son, 2, b. Yorkshire, Kirby Wiske
Ellen, dau. 3 mths. b. Yorkshire, Scruton

I had a good idea Annie was correct for the 1861, but had my doubts about the others?

Could I also mention in 1861, the family were living in a village called Ainderby Steeple.

Kind regards,

Pels  :)

Here is a link from Genuki showing you where they were in 1861.

If you then click onto nearby places, Scruton and Ainderby Steeple are only a couple of miles apart.
