How about this one?

Jane Colley aged 44 buried 23.5.1821 at St Peter ad Vincular, Tibberton

Thats the only Jane coming up in Tibberton

I had already got the rest of Ada's family thanx only found the certificate because I was bored and trying to marry or kill off some of the names on the list

Yes it Family History Online

http://www.familyhistoryonline.net/login/login.html

Its a pay per view site but seems to be useful for somethings

I wonder if it was giving birth to William at the age of 44 that resulted in her death?

Hiya DTR

I have found the following

Edward Colley died 28.4.1843 aged 66 buried St Peter ad Vincular, Tibberton. I know we have our Edward as being born 1790 and this one would have been born 1777 but that would make him the same age as his first wife. think theres a chance its our Edward?

Hiya DTR

I'm guessing you have used the IGI to search for rellys but I wasn't sure if you had the batch numbers for a specific area. They are C040341 and C040342 for christenings and M040341 and M040341 for marriages there is also a E040342 but nothing is coming up under that one

I have just pulled up a load of names that have slipped between the census takings plus the fact that Edward and Jane had children called William, John, Keziah and Thomas

John married a Keziah Price in 1840

It looks more and more likely that Edward wasn't born in Tibberton and any names found there are all decended from him. Now if we can just find out where he was born ......

Willow,

I changed the birth date for Edward too! I am pretty sure that it is him.

John Colley and Keziah Price children are as follows:
Emily Colley b 1853 Tibberton
John Colley   b1844 Tibberton
Walter Colley b1851 Tibberton
George Colley b1843 Tibberton
Elizabeth Colley  b1845 d1849 Tibberton
Jane Colley b1840 Tibberton

Look for Walter in 1871 &1891 Census and do a bit of digging, you might find his occupation and who he and his wife (Sarah Ballard) worked for interesting.

Thomas Colley married Hannah Woodward 1838 Bishampton Worcester

I have also found a John Colley b 1824 Tibberton Father Edward Colley Mother Elizabeth, would a Father name 2 sons the same even if they had different Mothers? What do you think?

Do you have Anne Colley, daughter of Edward & Elizabeth b.1828 Tibberton? I found her the other week.

You were also right about Elizabeth Colley marrying Richard Parry 26.12.1881 St Peter Droitwich in your earlier posting.

We do need Edward Colley's birthplace, when I first started about 5 years ago I made a note that he was born in Gloucester but I was very disorganised and I cant remember where I got it from or if it is right!

Hope the above info is of interest.

Cheers

Hiya DTR

I found Walters occupation(s) - boy did he get about!

I found Anne last week and I definitely think Edward had two sons called John (weird!) maybe the first John died? and the second was named for him. Obviously the first set of kids had grown up and left home when he remarried - I get the feeling they didn't have much to do with his second wife

Have you any idea what happened to Keziah Colley daughter of Christopher? She married William Edward Salsbury in 1882 and their son Alfred b 1895 is listed with Christopher in the 1901 census but they are nowhere to be found

Did you find Angelina b 1861 daughter of George and Eliza? only found her from the IGI but she vanished by 1871 so she must have died. No scrap that she married Walter Webb in 1883 and found her in 1871 with the name spelt as Colly

She turns up in the 1881 census with Charles Colley b 1856 and an Elizabeth Colley b 1861 who's listed as the wife of Charles - she is listed as a sister! I wonder if he remarried someone his daughters age?

In the 1901 census he's listed as a pauper - she must have took him to the cleaners! he died in the december 1/4

Anyway speculation getting us nowhere. I will keep my eyes open and let you know

On the IGI there is

Edward Cowley christened 17.11.1776 parents William and Mary Ann at Moorfields, Gloucester

Could this be the one? You never know..... (fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed! - or is that because I have been staring at this screen too long!!)
