Brilliant, Thank you very much , James and Christopher at Sch 61 were brothers, the family at Sch14 with Elizabeth at the head are the rest of the family I have been looking for ,you have found 2 new people for me son William and daughter Elizabeth.

Not sure about Christopher and Harriet though in Sch14, age 2 & 1m son in law and daughter in law?

I have Elizabeth Colley (nee Davis) marriage details to Edward Colley 1-3-1824 Tibberton Worcester any ideas how I can get the details?

Thanks again.

I should think you would need the Parish Registers for that . I don't know where you are but this site should point you in the right direction http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/home/cs-records-family-history.htm
If you live too far away you could try posting to see if anyone can do the lookup for you if they are going - you seem to have the date and names so it wouldn't take very long.
Or, the following site has an offer of lookups at the Worcs History Centre. You could try that, I've done that a couple of times and he is very helpful. http://freespace.virgin.net/isabel.easter/Wrcs.html

Sorry, don't see James there >:(
James and Harriet being son in law and dau in law in 1851 could be a mistake by the enumerator, or the transcriber, or it may indicate that they were children of Eliza by a previous marriage (sometimes used instead of step son/dau).

Gardener,

This is great, many thanks it has really helped me to expand this side of my tree and has also filled in a few gaps.

I will try the links re the marriage details, but if nothing happens I am only about 15 miles from Worcester, if I can find where to go!

Be warned.....I have lots of family from Worcestershire!!!...seriously thanks again.

Cheers

Hiya DTR

I have just discovered that my Great Grandmother Maria's maiden name was Colley and Elias was her father

We're related!

Hi Willow,

Great news!, welcome to the family ha! ha! ;D I have about 70 Colley's in my tree, my Grandmother was Edith Elizabeth Colley, Daughter of Enos Colley who was Elias cousin.

Maybe you can help me Elias mother was Elizabeth but she was unmarried! I have checked on the 1871 Census, also Elizabeth birth date was the same as her brother Charles, were they twins?

Let me know if you have any thoughts or would like some info on the Colley's I have.

Cheers

Hiya DTR

Unfortunately I have only got back as far as Elizabeth at the moment having only just found out about her so any information would be welcome

Someone has posted quite a bit of information on the Colley family on Ancestory have you seen it?
