My mum's family is mainly from Glamorgan ~ though one was from Carmarthen.

Many of the Glamorgan ones originated elsewhere ~ England, Ireland, Wales.

My Dad's family has 'Montgomery' connections.

My GG Grandfather supposingly came from Pembrokeshire.
My GG Grandmother suppossingly came from Monmouthshire.

GG Grandpa on his death cert it says he was born Pembrokeshire but in the 1851 census it says he was born Monmouthshire.

GG Grandma on her death cert it says she was born Swansea Wales but in the 1851 census it says she was born in Abbervagenny Wales.

So I`m not really sure what is correct. ???

Supposingly my second cousin has their birth records but I have never been able to view these. I have asked to see them but always get the run around.Their records of birth are in a family bible as far as I have gathered.

Only just found this post...

My Rees's all seem to have lived in & around Llangyfelach, (Swansea) & to have worked in the Copper & Tin Industries.

Also have Davies from Aberavon, - but don't know much about them...

And thats about it!

Just thought I would drag this post from the ashes ...

my family are Kerfoot... I have found that prior to the early 1800s they came from Warrington but I think that every Kerfoot in Wales  is related some how to the Warrington chaps that bought farms and married local girls in Denbighshire/Flintshire unless some one can tell me otherwise :)
