Carmathenshire, Cardiganshire, Denbighshire, and of course lots in Glamorganshire...have also got a few from Breconshire and Pembrokeshire.

Also some previous...from Gloucester, Somerset, moved for the coalfields, also Lancs, my grandad, and his mother from the elusive Ireland!

Update on the Mathias of Pembroke Dock.... I think they must have had walking shoes or something.
There I was, thinking that all my lot came from Hubberston to Pembroke Dock.
Great Grandfather William Stevens Mathias might have been baptised in Hubberston, but his mum and dad had real itchy feet....

John Mathias from Slebech, married Elizabeth Griffiths from Lovestone in 1820.
First son baptised in Dale, second son (great grandfather William) baptised in Hubberston, daughter baptised in Steynton.
1841 census they are in Steynton, 1851 in Llanstadwell

Great Grandfather William married Martha John in Llanstadwell in 1845 and their children were all baptised St Mary, Pembroke Dock.
Their son William Stevens Mathias moved to Reading in Berkshire.

And there was me, thinking people didn't move around a lot in those days  :D

I had forgotten about this post and meant to have replied ages ago.
Anyway here goes:
My father's side seemed to have hopped backwards and forwards between Denbighshire and Flintshire. That is - Jones ( at least 4 families), Edwards, Tudor, Eaton, Williams and Davies.
My mother's family Owen (s) came to Denbighshire via Flintshire and originally Montgomeryshire. Also Benjamin, Williams, Roberts, Hughes , Wynne, Griffiths, Rowlands , Owen (again) , Howells and Pritchard. From Denbighshire , Flintshire and Montgomeryshire.
My only non Welsh born relatives besides one son and 4 grandchildren were from the Chester area which makes it a little surprising I cannot speak Welsh which I regret.
I am also researching Thomas , Jones, Griffiths, Williams from Caernarfonshire and Merionethshire for my wife which might make it a full set.

Anyway come on Wales tomorrow!!

Peter

Jones, Edwards, Davies, Owen, Benjamin , Hughes , Roberts,Thomas,Williams, Wynne , Griffiths, Howells, Rowlands etc etc
plus
Thomas,Trewren,Holmes,Thirlwall,Jones again & again
& more

My Welsh side were also bouncing between Denbighshire and Flint. The Kerfoot clan went to that area from Warrington in C1817 and bought farm land there, The lads married local girls who were Jones, Evans, Hughes, Roberts et al.
Kerfoot was not a name in that area before they arrived, so I know that any Kerfoots in Wales are in my tree somewhere
I believe that there are a few Kerfoot-Jones, Kerfoot-Hughes & Kerfoot0Roberts knocking about
I know that Nerys Hughes (actress) is actually Kerfoot -Hughes
