Hi Lambkin,
My lot came down from, Slebech in 1820. jinking off to Dale, and then across to Llanstadwell( having children all the way) the next genetation moving to Pembroke Dock in time for my grandfather William Stevens Mathias to be born there in 1850. He had brothers Richard, John, David and James, and sister Caroline.
Some time after 1881 William left Pembroke for Reading, Berks, and the next sighting we have of him is in 1891, when he is in Basingstoke with Reading girl Harriet, merrily producing children, claiming to be man and wife, but not getting married until after returning to Reading and producing a few more children.

Plenty of them still around there then, Lambkin.
I have no idea what happened to the rest of the family, as at the present I am concentrating on the direct line.
Nice to know I could still have some distant relations in that area.

My uncle Sydney Albert Mathias (Uncle Bert) born Dec q 1894 went back to Wales, but he is the only one of the family to do so. I have no idea where he went.
It would be incredible if it was his family.

 :'( I don't have a clue! :'(

Gt Grandfather Charles Glendower (Glyndwr?) Powell *edit: born abt 1830*  has been defying me for years.  The only real hint I've found is that he was a tinsmith!  Even posting on multiple boards, here on RC where the most helpful people are ... hasn't really shed any light on him  :-\

I live in Sydney, Australia, and I'm researching: Powell, Tatham, Dunbar, Dixon, Mackwood, Kinnear, Mitchell, Morgan, Delves, & Anderson
