Completed -1841, 51, 61 Lookup please - Purnell

Hi,

I'm trying to find out more information on my Gt Gt Grandfathers family, one Esau Purnell, who lived in Berkeley, Glos. during the 1820's & 30's. He was married to Ann Gazard.

I'm particularly interested in their son John, born 6/11/825 and who married Eleanor King in Dursley in 1849.

The 1841 would be interesting because Esau & wife had 10 children (I know of) and some died in infancy.

I suspect John may have moved to Gloucester, so the 1851 & 61 would be helpful in that respect. John & Eleanor only seem to have had one son Charles Henry (b.1852), & so the 1861 would be helpful in confirming that.

I hope someone can help with this enquiry.

Hi Bob,

Not sure if you are still looking for John Purnell, but in 1851 he, wife Ellen (Eleanor) and son Charles Hy (Henry) were living at 3 Union Street, Plaistow, West Ham (part of the London Borough of Newham).  John is listed as a carpenter and joiner.
